I bought my first 35mm camera in 1961 when I received my first paycheck from the 101st Airborne Division. I was soon doing additional duty as the 1/506 Abn Battle Group newspaper photographer. Since that time I have been involved in a never ending quest for better image quality. I moved through several 35mm cameras into medium format and finished up the last years of my film shooting with a Linhoff 4x5. When film "died" I reluctantly moved into digital. Now, nine years and several DSLR cameras later I wouldn't want to go back to film. I'm currently using a Nikon D800E and finding that I get the quality of detail and tonal values in large prints that I associated with 4x5. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed making them.
